How Much Access?

Libraries provide access to huge amounts of information—through the circulation of books and media, catalogs, databases, the Internet, and many other ways. This access to information and ideas is critical to the health of our democratic society.

The tricky question is: Should libraries grant the public access to information that is objectionable or even potentially dangerous?
